Routing Forms

Creating Routing Forms

Build forms that direct visitors to the right event type based on their answers.

Creating Routing Forms

Routing forms let you ask visitors a few questions and then direct them to the most appropriate event type or URL based on their answers. Think of them as an intelligent booking assistant.

Why Routing Forms?

Instead of showing visitors a list of event types and hoping they pick the right one, a routing form guides them:

  • "Are you a new or existing customer?" → Different event types.
  • "What's your company size?" → Sales call vs. self-serve demo.
  • "What department do you need?" → Route to the right team.

Creating a Form

  1. Go to Routing in the sidebar.
  2. Click New Routing Form.
  3. Enter a name and slug (URL identifier).
  4. Add fields (the questions you want to ask).
  5. Define rules (what happens based on answers).
  6. Save.

Field Types

  • Text — Free-form text input.
  • Select — Dropdown menu with predefined options.
  • Radio — Radio buttons for single selection.
  • Checkbox — Checkboxes for multiple selections.
  • Email — Email address input with validation.
  • Phone — Phone number input.
  • Number — Numeric input.
  • Textarea — Multi-line text input.

Sharing the Form

Your routing form has its own URL:

scheduler.calimatic.com/routing/your-form-slug

Share this URL instead of your main booking page when you want guided routing.

Tips

  • Keep forms short — 2–4 questions is ideal.
  • Make the first question the most important differentiator.
  • Always have a fallback rule for unmatched responses.
  • Test your form end-to-end before sharing.
