Date Overrides for Special Days
Date overrides let you change your availability for specific dates without modifying your regular weekly schedule. Perfect for holidays, vacations, and one-off schedule changes.
How They Work
A date override takes priority over your weekly schedule for that specific date. You can either:
- Block the entire day — Mark yourself as unavailable.
- Set custom hours — Be available at different times than your regular schedule.
Creating a Date Override
- Go to Settings > Availability.
- Click the Date Overrides tab.
- Click Add Override.
- Select the date.
- Choose Unavailable to block the day, or set custom start/end times.
- Optionally add a reason (e.g., "Company retreat", "Doctor appointment").
- Save.
Use Cases
- Holidays — Block off Christmas, New Year's, etc.
- Vacation — Mark entire weeks as unavailable.
- Half days — Available only in the morning on a specific Friday.
- Extended hours — Open up evening slots for a special event.
- Travel days — Block out days when you're in transit.
Tips
- Plan ahead — add known holidays and vacation at the start of the year.
- Use the reason field so you remember why a date is blocked when you review later.
- Date overrides apply to all event types unless the event type uses a schedule that already excludes that day.
