Google Calendar Integration

Connect Google Calendar for real-time availability sync and automatic event creation.

Google Calendar Integration

Connecting Google Calendar ensures your availability is always accurate and meetings are automatically added to your calendar.

What It Does

  • Conflict Detection — Checks your Google Calendar for existing events and blocks those times from booking.
  • Auto-create Events — When someone books a meeting, a Google Calendar event is created automatically.
  • Google Meet Links — If your event type uses Google Meet, a unique Meet link is generated for each booking.
  • Two-way Sync — Changes in Calimatic reflect in Google Calendar and vice versa.

Setting Up

  1. Go to Settings > Integrations.
  2. Click Connect next to Google Calendar.
  3. Sign in with your Google account.
  4. Grant the requested permissions (calendar read/write access).
  5. Choose which calendar to check for conflicts.
  6. Choose which calendar to create new events in (can be the same or different).
  7. Click Save.

Permissions Explained

Calimatic requests:
- See your calendars — To list your available calendars.
- View and edit events — To check for conflicts and create new events.

We never read or store the content of your existing events. We only check if time slots are free or busy.

Troubleshooting

"Calendar not syncing"
- Check that your integration is still active in Settings > Integrations.
- Try disconnecting and reconnecting.

"Meeting link not generated"
- Ensure your event type location is set to "Google Meet."
- Verify the Google Calendar integration has write permissions.

Tips

  • Use a dedicated calendar (e.g., "Calimatic Bookings") for created events to keep things organized.
  • Enable "Check for Conflicts" to avoid double-bookings.
  • If you have multiple Google accounts, connect the one you use for work.
